With Cross Match Technologies' MV 100, law enforcement, security guards, the military, and other organizations can quickly and accurately verify the identity of subjects in the field. Cross Match offers a mobile, handheld, full-featured fingerprint workstation with a forensic quality fingerprint scanner, pocket PC, digital camera, and magnetic stripe card or 2-D barcode reader. Future versions will offer contact and contactless smart card reading capabilities for one to one ID verification. The MV 100 can provide on-the-spot access to identification information in the harshest environments with its rugged and shock proof housing. The compact unit weighs less than two pounds and can easily be held and operated with either hand. The MV 100 is completely mobile and can be adapted to any wireless infrastructure. The MV 100's industry standard compact flash slot can accept a cellular provider's wireless data modem.The MV 100 uses the same optical technology found in Cross Match's industry leading VerifierT fingerprint scanners capturing high quality fingerprint images regardless of skin pigment or the presence of stains from ink, dyes, grease, or dirt. Cross Match's optional silicone pad enhances ridge details and overcomes the difficulties associated with dry and hard to print fingers. The MV 100 fingerprint platen measures approximately 1" wide by 1.5" tall, produces images at 500 dpi resolution and can operate in sunlight without the use of special hoods or operator techniques.
